Adams, is hiring a coffee lead to ensure the highest quality of coffee, beverage and café bite service. The ideal coffee lead will be customer-service oriented, a strong team player, and be familiar with industry best practices.

Job Description:

Train staff on proper crafting of all coffee beverages. Monitor consistency and quality of all coffee beverages. Maintain cleanliness and order of front bar, including retail. Delegate tasks related to upkeep of front bar and of retail to other staff; manage compliance to our standards. Set an example of excellent customer service; train and manage staff in excellent customer service as well. Monitor inventory of products and ingredients related to all coffee beverages. Order inventory as needed and manage intake of the inventory. Follow maintenance schedule and perform maintenance on all coffee equipment. Contact, schedule and monitor any repair or service needed for coffee equipment from outside vendors. Display reliable and consistent adherence to the staffing schedule. Act as the first resource for replacing front bar staff who call out or take time off. Report to management assessments of staff performance related to front bar and make recommendations regarding promotion or discipline. Display knowledge of origin of coffee products and train staff in this area. Train staff in proper cash handling protocols and monitor the this.

Qualifications:

At least two years of previous barista experience. Experience with brewing equipment. Comfortable with use of simple tools. Has plenty of availability during the week and available on at least one weekend day. Passionate about coffee. Thrives working as part of a team. Comfortable giving instruction and/or correction to fellow employees. Can communicate with co-workers in a friendly, positive manner. Displays strong organization skills; thinks ahead; enjoys responsibility. Prioritizes accuracy over speed. Enjoys speaking with guests; comfortable chatting with unfamiliar people. Practices basic safety and sanitation procedures with respect to equipment and handling of beverages and food. Must meet state minimum age to bartend and serve alcohol (21+). Ability to lift up to 40 pounds Possible shifts fall between 6:30AM and 4:00PM.
