Barista/Food Service at Ground Coffee

Ground in Hood River is looking to hire someone who enjoys food, coffee, has great communication skills, and enjoys working in a team-oriented environment. We're now hiring for Spring and Summer, and seeking year-round employees. Compensation based on experience. Barista experience is a plus, but not necessary. Must be able to work weekdays and some weekend days. Part to full time available, must be able to work varying shifts, morning and afternoon/early evening. Hiring now!

A qualified candidate must have:

• Strong passion for food and learning
• Proficient in cash handling and operating a POS system
• Knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
• Excellent time management skills to ensure efficient service
• Ability to handle food safely and follow health and safety regulations
• Flexible schedule
• Good communication skills
• Professional attitude
• Desire to work with and contribute to an awesome team
• Have a Food Handler certificate
• Food service and barista experience is preferred, but not required.

Team Member responsibilities include:

• Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
• Take orders and process payments using the POS system
• Prepare and serve food and beverages in a timely manner
• Maintain cleanliness and organization
• Assist with bussing tables and maintaining a clean and tidy workspace
• Follow all food safety and handling procedures
• Upsell menu items and promote specials to customers
• Food Prep
• Coffee making
