In this energetic role, you'll craft a variety of tea beverages, assist customers with their selections, and maintain a welcoming, efficient environment. This paid position offers the opportunity to develop your skills in food and beverage service while working in a dynamic retail setting. We're especially looking for a person who are available to work on the weekends. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a wide range of tea beverages with precision and care, ensuring quality and consistency. Engage with customers in a friendly, upbeat manner to recommend products and answer questions about tea options. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate cash handling, sales processing, and transaction management. Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards by following proper food handling, preparation, and sanitation procedures. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and smooth café operations. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including serving light snacks or accompaniments in line with food safety guidelines. Handle cash transactions accurately, perform basic math calculations for sales totals, and ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed. Experience Previous barista experience or background in the food industry is highly preferred, especially within café or retail environments. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency in sales processing. Strong customer service skills with an energetic approach to engaging guests and creating a positive atmosphere. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in food handling and sales transactions. Basic math skills for cash handling, register balancing, and retail math calculations. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures is essential for maintaining hygiene and quality standards. Experience in serving or retail environments demonstrates strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
