Job Description

We are an established independent pizzeria and are looking for an experienced industry professional to join our team at our NW 21st location. We are a very tight crew and work efficiently by setting ourselves up for a successful service using clear communication and staying clean and organized. We all share high standards and a passion for quality food.

We are looking to fill a part time FOH/Slice Counter position, 2 days, 12-16 hours per week. Saturday evening availability is required. The FOH Slice Counter position is a customer-facing role and involves heating and serving pizza by the slice, serving beer and wine, keeping our dining room and patio clean, performing side work, and fostering an overall welcoming and kind environment for our guests. Serving, bartending, deli, or cafe experience would apply to this role.

Main tasks include:

Customer-facing counter serviceTaking orders and using Square POS to process transactionsReceiving, accepting, and updating incoming online orders on a tabletAnswering the phone to take orders and answer customer questionsOccasionally calling customers about their ordersWarming, topping, and serving slices to orderMonitor and maintain cleanliness, ambiance, and overall presentation of the restaurantServing alcoholic beverages including beer, wine, and batch cocktailsHandling busy rushes and long lines of customers while staying calm and focusedCommunicating slice pie stock with kitchen throughout the dayFood running for kitchenKeeping the dining area and outdoor tables cleanRestocking and refreshing napkins, shakers, beverages etc. as neededLight prep such as pre-making salads before open, portioning sauces, assembling to-go packaging, picking basil, etc.

Making salads, desserts, etcHelping with dishes and keeping the shop clean throughout the day and after closingCompleting open, mid, closing, and cleaning check lists dailyAwareness of and updating signage and menus
Compensation:
$25-$26/hr flat wage - we charge a service fee so your gross pay is guaranteed and consistent regardless of daily sales or customers' tipping preferences. Wage increases to $26/hr after a successful training period.
