Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and skilled Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and coffee preparation, with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. You will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring excellent service in a fast-paced café environment. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to standard recipes. Operate the Square POS system for order processing and cash handling. Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing inquiries. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment and workstations. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Assist with food preparation and serving as needed, while adhering to food service guidelines. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service. Handle cash transactions accurately, including basic math calculations for change. Promote sales through product knowledge and recommendations to customers. Skills Previous barista experience or strong coffee knowledge is preferred. Familiarity with square POS system is a plus. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Strong customer service skills with the ability to create positive interactions. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math applications. Knowledge of food safety practices and food industry standards. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. Experience in food preparation and serving within a café or retail setting is advantageous.
