Position Overview:

As a Luxury Cafe Barista at Scholar Hotels, you will play a key role in creating an exceptional and memorable experience for our guests. You will be responsible for crafting high-quality specialty coffees and teas, preparing delicious pastries, and providing exemplary customer service in a refined and elegant environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Coffee and Tea Preparation:

Expertly prepare a range of specialty coffees, teas, and handcrafted beverages, ensuring consistency and excellence in every cup. Knowledgeable in various brewing techniques and equipment, including espresso machines, grinders, and brewing methods.

Pastry and Food Service:

Serve freshly baked pastries and gourmet grab-and-go food items with attention to presentation and quality. Ensure all food items meet our high standards for freshness and taste.

Customer Service:

Deliver a warm, engaging, and personalized service experience to all guests. Anticipate guest needs, address inquiries, and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.

Cleanliness and Organization:

Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked work area. Adhere to health and safety regulations and hotel standards for cleanliness and hygiene.

Sales and Upselling:

Utilize product knowledge to make recommendations and upsell additional items, enhancing the guest experience and maximizing revenue.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with fellow team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment. Support other team members as needed and contribute to a collaborative atmosphere.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Previous experience as a barista in a high-end cafe or luxury hotel environment preferred. Demonstrated expertise in preparing specialty coffee and tea beverages.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of coffee and tea preparation techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a keen attention to detail.
