Starbucks Barista / Shift Supervisor

Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our dynamic team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Your expertise in coffee and customer service will enhance the café experience, ensuring that each guest leaves satisfied and eager to return. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards. Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems efficiently for order processing and cash handling. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, adhering to food safety and handling regulations. Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality. Assist with inventory management, including restocking supplies and reporting shortages as needed. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment while promoting sales through effective upselling techniques. Perform basic math calculations for cash handling and retail transactions accurately. Qualifications Previous barista experience or strong coffee knowledge is preferred. Familiarity with food preparation and safety standards within the food industry. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor. Strong time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Basic math skills for cashiering duties, including retail math for accurate transactions. Experience with POS systems (Aloha or Micros) is a plus but not mandatory. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
