Closing Barista (Part-time or Full-time)

Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant café team. Prior experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred, along with strong time management and sales skills. Weekend availability required. • Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and food items according to company standards Operate POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and cash handling Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and addressing inquiries Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas Ensure food safety standards are met during food handling and preparation Manage cash register operations accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed Uphold food safety protocols and sanitation procedures at all times Engage with customers to promote products and increase sales through friendly interactions Qualifications Previous barista experience or coffee industry background preferred Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus Ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail Excellent time management skills to ensure prompt service during peak hours Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and sales transactions Food safety certification or knowledge of proper food handling practices is desirable Experience in food service or retail environments is beneficial Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as needed Pay will include all tip shares which may bring your pay much higher (except training pay), but 14.00-16.00 per hour is a guaranteed minimum.
