Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages using established recipes and techniques. Operate POS systems such as Square POS to process transactions accurately and efficiently. Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cashiering duties with precision and integrity. Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards by following proper food handling, preparation, and sanitation procedures. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests warmly, taking orders promptly, and addressing inquiries or concerns professionally. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality. Assist in food preparation tasks within the café, including assembling food items and maintaining stock levels. Experience Previous barista experience or background in food service is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a positive attitude! Familiarity with POS systems such Square POS is advantageous. Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours. Knowledge of food safety protocols, food handling practices, and basic math for cash handling and retail math calculations. Experience in coffee preparation, serving beverages, or working within the food industry will help you succeed in this role. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while maintaining high standards of customer service.
