Part-time, Full-time Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Barista to join our team at PJ's Coffee Katy Fort Bend Location. As a Barista, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and preparing delicious coffee beverages. If you are passionate about coffee and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.

Duties:

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, such as lattes, cappuccinos, and espressos, granitas, etc.
• Prepare and serve beignets and a variety of sandwiches, such as English muffin, SEC Bagels, etc.
• Take customer orders and process payments using a cash register.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing concerns
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, coffee bar, and kitchen area including restrooms as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of the equipment in the shop and follow the directions.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines when handling food and beverages
• Help and assist food preparation required
• Manage inventory of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Barista or in the food industry is preferred but not required
• Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and different coffee blends
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
• Proficient in basic math for cash handling transactions
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent time management skills to ensure efficient service
• Familiarity with using a cash register or POS system is a plus
• Must be able to work well in a team environment
• Willing to take a food manager certification before 60 days working.
