Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages using established recipes and techniques. Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, pastries, and light snacks while maintaining food safety standards. Operate POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS efficiently for order processing, cash handling, and sales transactions. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food handling stations, counters, and seating areas. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing inquiries promptly. Manage cash register operations with accuracy, including basic math calculations for transactions and retail math for sales tracking. Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure a safe dining environment for all guests. Qualifications Previous barista experience or background in the food industry is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for coffee culture is essential. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus; willingness to learn new technology is important. Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently while maintaining quality service. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and managing sales accurately. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Ability to stand for extended periods, lift light loads, and work in a fast-paced environment comfortably.
