May through October Sevier Coffee is a modern coffee house and breakfast spot that fuels guests before their adventurous days at Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park. Located just 25 minutes from Bryce and 50 minutes from Zion, our seasonal team gets to enjoy breathtaking scenery and access to nearby hiking and trails!
Position Overview:
We are seeking enthusiastic Baristas who excel in customer service and have a passion for coffee! In this role, you will educate customers on our drinks menu, make personalized recommendations, and take orders while preparing a variety of delicious beverages and food items, including sandwiches and burritos. The compensation for this position includes hourly pay plus tips.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers warmly as they enter the coffee house. Provide drink menus and answer questions regarding ingredients. Take detailed orders, noting customer preferences (e.g., coffee blends, dairy, and sugar ratios). Prepare beverages and food items according to our recipes. Serve beverages and food, including cookies, pastries, and muffins. Process customer payments accurately (cash and credit). Maintain cleanliness of the barista and dining areas. Ensure a well-stocked supply of mugs, plates, and equipment. Monitor brewing equipment functionality and report any issues. Comply with health and safety regulations at all times. Communicate customer feedback to management and suggest new menu items. Prepare food and baked goods, such as burritos and sandwiches.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Barista, Server, or Bartender is preferred. Hands-on experience with brewing equipment. Knowledge of sanitation regulations. Flexibility to work various shifts. Basic math skills for payment processing. Ability to assess and respond to customers' preferences. Excellent communication skills. High school diploma; relevant training is a plus.
