Motivated Barista

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in a fast-paced café environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and a love for coffee, ensuring that every customer has an exceptional experience. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and providing excellent service to our patrons. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso beverages according to established recipes and standards. Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for order processing and cash handling. Ensure the café is clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their orders. Handle cash transactions accurately while adhering to food safety and handling guidelines. Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to effectively assist customers. Assist in food preparation as needed, ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Manage time efficiently during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment. Requirements Previous barista or coffee experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations. Experience in food service or the food industry is an advantage. Familiarity with POS systems (Aloha or Micros) is a plus. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of food safety practices and food handling procedures is essential. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
