Barista and Cashier

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and customer service, ensuring that every guest receives a warm welcome and an exceptional experience. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining cleanliness in the café, and creating a friendly atmosphere for our customers. Responsibilities Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks according to established recipes. Operate the Aloha POS system efficiently to process customer orders and handle cash register transactions. Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including workstations, equipment, and dining areas. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies. Adhere to food handling and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for both customers and staff. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment that fosters teamwork and communication. Qualifications Previous experience in the food industry or café setting is preferred but not required. Strong math skills for handling cash transactions and understanding retail math concepts. Familiarity with Aloha POS systems or similar cash register systems is a plus. Basic math skills to accurately process payments and provide change. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers. A passion for coffee culture and knowledge of various beverage preparation techniques is desirable. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
