Barista FOH Associate

Sunday - Saturday, must be available to work on weekends and closing. Experience working in a coffee or bakery shop is preferred.

We are seeking motivated, service-oriented, and cheerful front staff with the ability to observe and act to join our fantastic team serving up from-scratch bakery treats and amazing coffee! The position involves working in a fast-paced environment, especially during busy holidays and weekends, so flexibility and the ability to compartmentalize and complete tasks efficiently are essential. As a Barista & Milkshake Associate, you will be the face of our cafe shop, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, delivering exceptional customer service, while ensuring an unforgettable experience for our guests. Your primary role will involve preparing and serving delicious coffee beverages, milkshakes, and food items while ensuring a clean and organized workspace. You will engage with customers, be attentive, take their orders, and provide recommendations to enhance their experience. Daily hours of operation 7:00 am- 5:00 pm. •Weekend & Holiday availability is a priority•Looking to fill Morning, Afternoon, and Weekend Shifts If you're passionate about providing great service, have common sense, and can thrive in a busy setting, we'd love to hear from you! We are looking for FOH Associates to prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including various types of coffee, tea, smoothies, Milkshakes and support our kitchen staff. Barista responsibilities include educating customers on our drinks menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling special items and taking orders. To be successful in this role, you should have customer service skills and knowledge of how brewing equipment operates. You should be able to work various shifts and holidays. Ultimately, you'll ensure an excellent drinking experience for our guests.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

Previous barista experience is required for front-of-the-house staff Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, smoothies, and food items according to established recipes and standards. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Excellent customer service skills and common sense for front staff Ability to work as part of a team Positive attitude and a willingness to learn Greet customers as they enter, make them feel good welcomed, while anticipating their needs. Provide warm, knowledgeable service and helpful guidance to reassure guest they made the right choice to visit us! Assist customers by taking orders, paying attention to details (e.g., preferences of coffee blend, dairy, and sugar ratios), and answering questions about menu items. Engage with customers to provide recommendations based on their preferences and promote special offers or new products. Serve beverages, ice cream, milk shakes, and prepared food, like cookies, pastries, cupcakes, and muffins Follow health and safety regulations in food preparation and handling. Uses a checklist to maintain the cleanliness and organization of the café area, including workstations, equipment, and dining spaces. Completes all assigned side work, including replenishing condiments and restocking stands. Perform other duties as requested, such as answering telephones, handling special guest requests, and greeting guests according to our guidelines. Adhere to food safety and handling guidelines to ensure the highest quality of products served. Support BOH staff when necessary or slow. Attend required meetings Skills Previous work experience as a Barista or Waiter/Waitress - Preferred Hands-on experience with brewing equipment Knowledge of sanitation regulations Flexibility to work various shifts Basic math skills Ability to gauge customers' preferences Excellent communication skills High school diploma; relevant training is a plus Additional Will train the right person.
