This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food preparation, and customer engagement while working in a setting focused on wellness and quality.• Duties Prepare and serve a variety of fresh juices, smoothies, coffee drinks, and other beverages quickly from memory, consistent with established recipes Operate POS systems to process transactions efficiently and accurately Ensure all food safety standards are maintained through proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy using POS systems and basic math skills Provide friendly, attentive customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and offering product recommendations Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food prep stations and equipment Assist in food preparation tasks such as slicing fruit or assembling ingredients for beverages while adhering to food safety guidelines Qualifications Previous barista experience or coffee industry background is preferred but not required Familiarity with POS systems Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and basic math for cash handling and retail math calculations Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting ingredients or equipment Experience in food service or retail environments is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
