Barista

We are looking for someone who will prepare & serve hot and cold beverages to order with care and attention while maintaining a welcoming and grounded attitude. Barista responsibilities include describing drinks, if needed, making recommendations on occasion and fulfilling beverage orders. Candidates must enjoy connecting with our community of customers and also be willing to learn how coffee brewing and juicing equipment operates and is maintained. Shifts presently are Wednesdays through Sundays from 7:30 to 4:30.

Note:

this position's starting compensation includes $15/hr plus tips. Ultimately, you'll help ensure a warm, memorable experience for our community, friends and weary travelers alike.

Responsibilities:

Be present for customers Answer questions about drinks Prepare beverages following recipes Keep the bar area clean Maintain stock of clean mugs, paper cups and sweeteners, accoutrements & milks Keep an eye on equipment operation, perform and/or report any maintenance needs Comply with health and safety regulations Work well with other colleagues at the cafe Helpful Skills /

Attributes:

Previous work experience in service Hands-on experience with coffee brewing equipment Flexibility to work various shifts Willingness to respond to customers' preferences and requests Proactive attitude and exceptional patience
