Cafe Hitchcock, led by James Beard-nominated Chef Brendan McGill (Hitchcock, Cafe Hitchcock , Bruciato, Kingfisher, Hitchcock Bakeshop, Oyster Cellar) is looking for qualified service team members with an interest in local, hand-crafted food and drink. Our restaurant group is dedicated to creating an outstanding dining experience from food to service and everything in between. • Be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Have or be able to obtain a WA State Food Handler card
• Professional, responsible, dependable, always on time
• A strong team player who is willing to create an unforgettable experience
• Self-motivated, organized, and work well in a busy, high-volume environment Please be neat, clean, organized and able to work 8 hours standing.

Applicants must be a good team player and take direction well. Our kitchen is in full view of the public and requires some interaction with customers. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with attention to quality and presentation Operate POS systems Handle cash register operations including cash handling, cashiering, and basic math calculations for transactions Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders clearly, and addressing inquiries promptly Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation areas, ensuring proper food handling and sanitation practices Manage serving responsibilities by delivering food and beverages promptly while ensuring order accuracy Assist with inventory management, restocking supplies, and organizing the café environment to ensure smooth daily operations Experience Previous barista experience or background in the food industry is preferred but will train the right person Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods Experience in retail math, cash handling, and cashiering to ensure accurate transactions Knowledge of food safety protocols and food preparation standards Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic approach to engaging with guests Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced café or retail setting Join us to be part of a passionate team dedicated to delivering exceptional coffee experiences!
