We have 2 locations: Mill Creek and Capitol Hill. Our ideal candidate is super friendly, self-driven, punctual, and reliable. Able to learn new skills fast and serve the customers as friendly as possible.
JOB DUTIES 1.
Coffee & Beverage Preparation Brewing espresso-based drinks (e.g., lattes, cappuccinos, Americanos) Preparing drip coffee Making specialty drinks (e.g., matcha, flavored lattes, teas) Steaming milk to the correct texture and temperature Properly dosing, tamping, and extracting espresso shots Maintaining consistency in drink quality and presentation Understanding different coffee beans, grind sizes, and extraction times 2. Food Handling & Preparation Preparing and serving pastries, paninis, breakfast items, acai bowls, ensuring freshness and correct portioning Assembling paninis and using a panini press Ensuring proper handling of food according to health regulations Managing stock levels for food items and restocking as needed Keeping food display cases clean and organized 3. Customer Service & Order Taking Taking customer orders and processing transactions Providing product recommendations based on customer preferences Answering questions about menu items, including ingredients and dietary options Handling customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner Engaging with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere 4. Shop Maintenance & Cleaning Cleaning and sanitizing the espresso machine, grinders, and other equipment Wiping down tables, counters, and seating areas Washing dishes, utensils, and barista tools Restocking supplies like coffee beans, milk, syrups, and cups Sweeping and mopping floors to maintain cleanliness Following opening and closing procedures 5. Inventory & Stock Management Monitoring inventory levels for coffee, milk, syrups, and pastries Restocking and rotating ingredients to ensure freshness Reporting low stock levels to management Receiving and organizing new deliveries 6. Teamwork & Efficiency Coordinating with team members during rush hours Helping in other areas of the shop when needed Communicating effectively with the kitchen staff Maintaining a fast and efficient workflow 7. Adhering to Health & Safety Regulations Following food safety and hygiene practices Ensuring all beverages and food items meet quality standards Complying with workplace safety protocols.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Previous Barista Experience
  • Experience in Customer Service
  • Knowledge of Coffee Brewing Methods
  • Latte Art Skills (preferred but not necessary)
  • Basic Food Preparation Skills (especially for handling pastries & paninis)
  • Knowledge of Food Safety Regulations
  • Ability to Maintain a Clean & Organized Work Area
  • Friendly & Approachable Personality
  • Ability to Handle Busy Rushes & Multitask
  • Strong Communication Skills (
  • Patience & Problem-Solving Skills
  • Ability to Process Transactions Accurately
  • Ability to Stand for Long Periods
  • Capable of Lifting & Carrying Up to 30 lbs
  • Food Handler's Permit
