Job Description

Barista / Front Team Member Position Summary Biscuit House is looking for a friendly, energetic, and dependable Barista / Front Counter Team Member to join our team. In this role, you will prepare and serve coffee beverages, specialty drinks, matchas, energy drinks, and other menu items while providing outstanding guest service. You will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment, accurately taking orders, maintaining cleanliness, and helping ensure every guest has a great experience. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced breakfast and lunch restaurant, takes pride in quality and presentation, and genuinely enjoys interacting with people. Responsibilities Greet guests with a positive and welcoming attitude Take guest orders accurately using our point-of-sale system Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and beverage options Prepare coffee drinks, matchas, energy drinks, teas, and other specialty beverages according to recipes Serve food and beverages promptly and accurately Make recommendations and upsell featured menu items and beverages Process cash, credit card, and mobile payments Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station, front counter, dining room, and beverage areas Restock cups, lids, syrups, milk, coffee supplies, and other inventory throughout the shift Follow food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines Assist with opening, closing, and daily cleaning duties Communicate guest feedback, product shortages, and equipment issues to management Support teammates and assist in other front-of-house duties as needed Qualifications Previous experience in customer service, food service, coffee service, or hospitality preferred Experience preparing espresso-based beverages is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Reliable attendance and punctuality Basic cash-handling skills Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds Weekend availability is required Ability to work early morning shifts beginning as early as 6:00 AM High school diploma or equivalent preferred What We're Looking For A team player with a positive attitude Someone who enjoys connecting with guests and creating memorable experiences Attention to detail and commitment to quality A strong work ethic and willingness to learn A passion for hospitality and serving great food and drinks Compensation Competitive hourly pay based on experience, plus participation in the tip pool.
