Job Description
Job Overview Daybreak Coffee Company is a new stand in Westport. If you want to be a part of something new with tons of room for growth this is it. We are looking for a reliable weekend barista who is also open to covering/filling in shifts when needed. Westport is very busy in the summer therefore sometimes some extra help is necessary. As of now the two set shifts would be Saturday 8am-1pm and Sunday 9am-4pm Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision, speed, and consistency Operate POS systems such as square POS to process transactions accurately and efficiently Maintain cleanliness and organization of the stand. Handle cash, credit card transactions, and perform cashiering duties with accuracy using proper food handling procedures Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders promptly, and addressing inquiries professionally Follow food safety standards and food handling protocols to ensure quality and safety at all times Assist in basic tasks, including managing inventory levels, and rotating product by best by date. Experience Previous barista experience " is highly preferred but we are willing to train the right person. Familiarity with square POS system is a plus Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service with a friendly attitude Knowledge of food safety practices, serving standards, and basic math skills for retail math and cash handling Experience in food preparation, serving, or the food industry is a plus Ability to work weekends consistently with flexibility in scheduling Join us in creating something amazing for this small community.
