Timing, organization and multi-tasking are skills that our organization is in search of. Experience in a kitchen setting is a plus. Food Safety Certification is preferred. The position requires calm under pressure. House blends of Yemeni coffee and spice blends are made to order on a sleek front of the house stovetop. The beans from our founder's family farm are roasted on-site, for the freshest product possible. Aroma's from the port on Mocha lead you into our tasting room. Our rich and delicious coffee and chai is meant to share with family and friends. Our coffee chef's are the main attraction at each location. Front and center, for all patrons to watch the craft at work. Attention to detail, precise measurements and pride of product go into every cup. Generations of coffee bean farmers from Sana'a Yemen have perfected their methods to bring us the finished product we sell today. Join our team in bringing this treasure of the Red Sea to Wisconsin, for the first time.
Duties:
  • Manage all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
  • Oversee inventory management and ensure proper stock levels of ingredients and supplies
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper food handling techniques and safety protocols
  • Collaborate with the management team to plan and execute special events and banquets
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Skills:
  • Strong leadership abilities with the ability to effectively manage a team
  • Excellent kitchen skills, cost control, and inventory management
  • Extensive knowledge of food service management principles and practices
  • Experience in catering operations and event planning
  • Familiarity with restaurant management software systems
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality
