Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently, ensuring quality standards are met. Use POS systems such as Toast POS to process orders, handle cash transactions, and manage tabs with precision. Engage with guests in a friendly, energetic manner to create a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and food handling regulations at all times. Manage time effectively during busy hours by prioritizing drink orders, serving multiple tables or patrons simultaneously, and ensuring timely service. Upsell menu items including specialty cocktails, beers, wines, and food offerings to maximize sales opportunities. Follow all responsible alcohol service policies and verify guest age using proper identification techniques. Follow orders and answer directly to Bar Manager Qualifications Proven experience as a bartender in VFWs, American Legions, nightclubs, or banquet settings is highly preferred. Veteran status is a plus. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is essential for efficient order processing. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse situations professionally. Excellent time management skills to balance multiple orders during peak hours without compromising quality or service speed. Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and proper alcohol service protocols. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate billing. Previous experience in food service or hospitality environments that involve catering or food industry operations is advantageous.
