Canine Coach / Bark Ranger (Dog Daycare Attendant) Bark Bar & Grille Little Rock, AR Job Details Part-time $11 - $25 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Employee discount Professional development assistance Qualifications Pet care Animal jumping behavior correction Sales First aid Dog handling Animal aggression management Dog training Full Job Description Job Summary Bark Bar & Grille Doggy Daycare is seeking an energetic, knowledgeable, and dog-loving Canine Coach (trainer) / Bark Ranger (Dog Daycare Attendant) to help lead and grow our positive reinforcement training program. This role combines professional dog training, daycare enrichment, behavior coaching, customer education, and supervised social play in a fast-paced dog bar and daycare environment. The ideal candidate is confident working with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments and is passionate about helping dogs build confidence, improve behavior, and strengthen relationships with their humans. This position plays a key role in expanding Bark Bar's training offerings, including: Private training sessions Group obedience classes Daycare training add-ons Puppy socialization and enrichment Behavior support and structured play Follow all Bark Bar safety procedures, dog handling protocols, and cleaning standards. Support daycare and front-of-house operations as needed during busy periods. Qualifications & Skills Experience in dog training, canine behavior, daycare, kennel work, veterinary care, or related animal care fields strongly preferred. Strong understanding of canine body language, pack dynamics, and positive reinforcement techniques. Ability to confidently handle dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments. Excellent communication and customer service skills with both dogs and humans Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and handle large dogs throughout the shift. Experience administering medications or working in veterinary settings is a plus. CPR/First Aid certification for pets is a plus (or willingness to obtain). Team-oriented attitude with a passion for creating an amazing experience for pups and their people. Responsibilities Conduct one-on-one private dog training sessions using positive reinforcement methods. Lead and assist with group obedience and socialization classes. Work with daycare dogs on leash manners, impulse control, confidence building, and basic obedience throughout the day. Supervise structured dog play while monitoring body language and behavior to maintain a safe environment. Evaluate dogs for temperament, social compatibility, and training opportunities. Educate pet parents on training techniques, behavior management, and reinforcement strategies. Help promote training packages, classes, and daycare add-on services to customers. Maintain detailed notes on dog progress, behavior observations, and training recommendations. Assist with enrichment activities, structured playgroups, and behavior-focused daycare programming. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the training and daycare areas. Administer medications and assist with feeding or basic care needs as needed. Support front desk and daycare operations during busy periods.
