Owner-operated and proudly alcohol-free, we specialize in Kava, Kratom, and Coffee drinks, crafted to bring people together in a safe, welcoming space. With weekly events, the latest video games, and an inviting atmosphere, Rooted Kava Bar is the perfect spot to relax, socialize, and build community over delicious drinks. We're seeking enthusiastic and outgoing bartenders who can multitask in a social environment, delivering a great experience and excellent service to our patrons. Ideal candidates will have great social skills, excellent attention to detail, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, while maintaining a positive attitude and strong communication skills. Some of the events we host include: Cars & Coffee Rave Night Bike Night Themed Parties Watch Parties Video Game Tournaments Bingo Trivia Kava Pong Karoke Night Primary Responsibilities Opening or closing the bar Interacting with customers, taking orders, and serving drinks with enthusiasm Assessing a customer's preferences and needs to make helpful recommendations Complying with all food and beverage regulations Maintaining inventory count and restocking the bar and supplies as needed Maintaining a clean and safe environment Managing the vibe of the bar to create a positive experience Working autonomously while upholding company standards Becoming a source of knowledge on the history, effects, and safe consumption of Kratom and Kava Assisting in social media content for our Instagram and TikTok accounts

Desired Skills Experience:

Previous Bartending or Barista experience is highly preferred. One year of experience in the service industry is required.

Adaptability:

Be eager and ready to learn new skills and techniques, especially in the realm of Kratom and Kava mixology.

Creativity:

You'll have the opportunity to create unique and delicious Kratom and Kava recipes and cocktails.

Multitasking:

You're comfortable in a fast-paced environment, capable of handling high-volume orders while maintaining quality service.

Reliability:

Consistency is crucial. Punctuality and a strong work ethic are essential to ensuring smooth operations during both morning and evening shifts.

Flexibility:

The ability to work weekdays and weekends.

Physical Fitness:
