Responsibilities Curate and maintain an extensive wine list, aligning with menu offerings and guest preferences Assist guests in selecting wines that complement their meals, utilizing upselling techniques to enhance sales Provide detailed descriptions of wines, including origin, flavor profiles, and pairing suggestions Collaborate with culinary staff on menu planning and pairing recommendations to elevate guest dining experiences Ensure proper food handling, storage, and serving procedures in accordance with food safety standards Support banquet and catering events by offering expert beverage service and ensuring guest satisfaction Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, including cash handling and cashiering duties Skills Proven experience in restaurant settings with a focus on fine dining or food service environments Extensive knowledge of wines, spirits, and beverage pairings; culinary experience is a plus Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell confidently while maintaining excellent customer service Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient order processing and cash handling Experience in serving at banquets or catering events, demonstrating adaptability in various food industry contexts Knowledge of food safety protocols, food handling, meal preparation, and food industry standards Excellent communication skills to educate guests about wine options and enhance their dining experience Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering exceptional culinary journeys.
