$17.50 To $17.50 Hourly Job Description Cambria Calabasas Hotel is currently seeking an experienced, knowledgeable and independent-working Bartender to maintain the property beverage service up to brand standards and Owner expectations. Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled, energetic, and guest-focused Bartender to join our team at Cambria Hotel Calabasas. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional beverage and food service while creating a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate is flexible, reliable, and thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in a timely and professional manner Provide food service to guests within all outlets in accordance with established service standards Deliver excellent customer service and create a positive guest experience Assist with food and beverage preparation, including cutting fruit, garnishing, and mixing drinks Arrange and maintain serving dishes, trays, utensils, glassware, and related service items Maintain cleanliness of bar, serving areas, and dining spaces by wiping spills, removing trash, and resetting tables Ensure all tables are properly cleaned and dining areas are maintained, including vacuuming as needed Keep self-service items stocked and replenished Wash and properly store glassware, china, silverware, and bar equipment as needed Accurately operate POS system, credit cards, and room charges per hotel SOPs Monitor guest alcohol consumption and ensure compliance with all safety and legal regulations Maintain inventory levels, restock supplies, and complete daily, weekly, and monthly inventory as required Assist with setup, service, and breakdown of pool bar operations Support banquet and special events, ensuring high service standards are upheld Be knowledgeable of hotel facilities, services, and hours of operation to assist guests Follow all food safety and sanitation standards in accordance with brand guidelines Assist in maintaining safety equipment and follow emergency procedures to ensure the safety of guests and team members
Additional Expectations:
Must be available to work weekends (required) Open availability is highly preferred This position may require stepping into a server role when needed; flexibility is essential Must be willing to support multiple outlets, including restaurant, bar, pool bar, and events We are looking for a go-getter with a welcoming, friendly personality who is proactive, dependable, and team-oriented Candidates with significant schedule restrictions may not be a good fit for this role
Qualifications:
Previous bartending experience preferred (hotel or restaurant experience a plus) Strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and mixology techniques Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and perform efficiently under pressure Must meet all local and state requirements for serving alcohol Must be 21 years or older to bartend (mix or pour alcohol) RBS Certification is
