This dual-role position assists bartenders with stocking and cleanliness while also monitoring guest behavior, enforcing venue policies, and ensuring overall security and safety. Barback Duties Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, ice, and bar supplies throughout shifts Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar areas, storage spaces, and service stations Wash glassware and ensure availability of clean bar tools and equipment Remove trash, recycling, and empty bottles promptly Assist bartenders with setup and breakdown before and after service Refill ice bins and change kegs as needed Support efficient service flow during high-volume periods Bouncer / Security Duties Check IDs and verify legal drinking age in compliance with local laws Monitor guest behavior to maintain a safe and respectful environment Enforce venue policies, including capacity limits and house rules De-escalate conflicts calmly and professionally Remove disruptive or intoxicated guests when necessary using appropriate procedures Monitor entrances, exits, and crowd flow Communicate safety concerns to management promptly Physical Requirements Ability to lift heavy objects and move quickly in tight spaces Comfortable working late-night hours Ability to monitor surroundings continuously for safety concerns Ability to de-escalate high stress situations Ability to keep customers and staff safe Preferred Qualifications (willing to get certified if needed) Previous barback, security, or hospitality experience Knowledge of alcohol service laws and responsible beverage service practices Conflict resolution or security training experience CPR/First Aid certification (preferred but not required)
