As a Bartender at Poppy's, you're not just pouring drinks—you're the first face guests see when they walk in, the energy behind the bar, and a key player in making sure every guest has an unforgettable experience. In addition to bartending, you'll take food orders, coordinate with the kitchen, serve food, and help keep the bar and dining areas clean and inviting. Duties & Responsibilities Greet and engage guests with a friendly, welcoming attitude Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages following Poppy's recipes and customer preferences Take food and drink orders accurately and enter them into the POS system Communicate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and timely food service Serve food and beverages directly to guests at the bar Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and dining areas, including bussing and resetting tables as needed Wash and polish glassware, stock bar supplies, and assist with daily side work Handle cash and card transactions accurately and responsibly Stay knowledgeable about our BBQ menu, drink offerings, and promotions to provide recommendations Follow all health, safety, and alcohol service guidelines Bartenders do earn tips Qualifications Previous bartending and/or food service experience preferred Strong customer service skills and an outgoing, team-oriented personality Ability to multitask and stay upbeat in a high-energy, fast-paced environment Comfortable working with both bar and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations Must be 21 years of age or older Flexible schedule availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods Why Work at Poppy's?
