Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for an energetic and reliable individual to join our team as a Barback Thursday-Saturday. In this role, you will provide support, ensuring a lively and smooth experience for our guests. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about hospitality, eager to learn, and ready to contribute to a vibrant atmosphere.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following reflects management's definition of the essential functions for this position but does not restrict the duties that may be assigned. Management may change the duties and responsibilities at any time. Ensures that all guests are greeted immediately upon entry. Provide exceptional guest service at all times. Support guests with event check-in, event tickets, reservations, and direct parking lot as needed. Communicates in a knowledgeable, professional, and gracious manner with all guests. Maintains the taproom's physical setting to reinforce brand standards. Performs opening and closing procedures, which include, but is not limited to setup and breakdown of tables, chairs and all items related to taproom operations. Performs various housekeeping duties, including, but not limited to, sweeping, emptying of trash receptacles, washing and polishing glassware, cleaning restrooms, etc. Ensures that the taproom, restrooms, bar, and outside areas are clean by dusting, collecting and disposing of trash, wiping and sanitizing counters and tabletops, setting and clearing tables, washing and polishing glassware, etc. Assist bartenders by restocking bar supplies, including beer, wine, and glassware, to keep the bar fully equipped. Reset and arrange tables and chairs, and clear empty glasses from the bar area to keep the space tidy. Help with setup and breakdown of events, ensuring all equipment and supplies are organized. Accurately uses POS registers and other systems to transact sales, when assisting with cashier duties. Fosters teamwork by working and communicating with others in a collaborative and respectful way. Receptive to feedback and communicates concerns in a constructive manner. Demonstrates personal accountability in following all company policies and procedures. Follows all Company policies and procedures. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required. Must be at least 21 years of age. Exceptional guest service skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to speak clearly and confidently with guests. Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings, especially during busy nights or events. Able to work Thursday-Saturday, including nights and special events. Must work events as required. Present a professional appearance and demeanor. Able to work independently as well as part of a team Able to obtain (within 60 days of hire) and maintain a Responsible Beverage Server and Safe Food Handler certification.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or GED required. Previous bussing experience preferred Experience in a hospitality environment preferred
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Fluent in English in both oral and written formats. Multi-lingual preferred. Able to communicate in a professional and effective manner at all times
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Able to identify and resolve discrepancies.
REASONING ABILITY
Able to understand, follow instructions, and ask clarifying questions when needed.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Proficient with POS systems preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee must work in while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly working in a combination of environments, including the taproom, temperature-controlled wine and beer storage areas, and outside areas, including an outdoor patio. Employees will be exposed to varying temperatures and conditions when working outdoors. The noise level in the work environment is generally moderate. Events will have a higher noise level.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be performed by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands, fingers, and arms to lift/carry/move/stack, grasp, reach, lower, open, and close. Must be able to accurately operate a POS system, standard office and bar equipment, perform various housekeeping duties, read, write, type, smell, taste, see, listen/hear, and speak. The employee is required to stand, move, and walk for prolonged periods of time. The employee must be able to squat, lift, move, carry and stack 50 pounds on a repetitive basis, climb stairs, set up/break down tables, and chairs. Pay:
$22.00 - $24.00 per hour
