The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their orders promptly and accurately, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality. Responsibilities Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area efficiently and accurately. Assist in the setup and breakdown of banquet events, ensuring all items are prepared for service. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and cleaning as necessary. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and presentation. Handle food items safely while adhering to food handling standards. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest inquiries and requests. Operate Point of Sale (POS) systems, including Aloha POS and Micros POS, for order processing when needed. Support catering services by assisting with food preparation and presentation for events. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations during service periods. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred. Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen operations is advantageous. Experience in banquet service or catering is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Knowledge of cash handling procedures is beneficial. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Experience with cleaning duties related to food service operations is required.
