Company Description Fairmont Breakers is a beloved feature of the Long Beach skyline, a historic landmark with a character and soul of its own. Originally opened in the roaring twenties as a lavish hotel on the waterfront, Breakers was a sought-after destination for world-famous stars. Following an extensive renovation, Fairmont Breakers returns as Long Beach's only luxury hotel, restoring one of California's most storied properties to its original grandeur. It offers 185 boutique rooms and suites; a rooftop pool and terrace; an open-air rooftop lounge with views of the Pacific; a blissful two-story spa, wellness and fitness center; dining venues and bars including a live jazz club; and 10,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor function space. Whether exploring the comforts of elevated coastal Italian cuisine in Nettuno or dining among the stars with champagne and caviar in Sky Room, Fairmont Breakers aims to delight all of your senses with artful surroundings and innovative offerings from our culinary team. Job Description
Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
Maintain stock and cleanliness of stations for all meal periods with necessary equipment including silverware, linen and condiments
Quickly clear dirty table settings and prepare table for resetting. Promptly and consistently reset all service ware as instructed
Transport all dirty tableware from dining room to dishwashing area for proper cleaning
Sweep floors between guests and service accordingly
Clean up spills and debris off the floor during and between service
Discard trash to appropriate location
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations
Ensure Plate presentation as per standards
Expedite food orders when necessary
Engage and genuinely interact with guests while anticipating their needs
Explain food and beverage items in detail to our guests
Follow all hotel standards, LQA standards, and Forbes 5 Stars standards while conducting self-audits to ensure 100% compliance on all interactions with guests.
Act as point of contact between Front of the House and Heart of the House including Stewarding
Support and assist Servers, Bartenders, Chefs, and Managers
Control costs and waste
Maintain order on pick up side of line
Maintain cleanliness and organization of line
Be proactive by assisting co-workers
Serve courses correctly
Be familiar with all menu items and aspects and services of the property
Clear excess dishes on table to maintain clean and orderly appearance
Exceed guest's expectations
Other duties as assigned Qualifications
Must have minimum one year of customer service experience, preferably in upscale F&B environment
Must have exceptional organizational qualities and skills
Must have friendly, helpful, engaging manner
Able to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays Additional Information What is in it for you: Hourly rate: USD $25.00 per hour
