ROLE SUMMARY
The Barback will provide personalized and immaculate guest service and an elegant dining experience by anticipating and providing for all guest needs/requests. They will be responsible for making sure the bar is fully stocked, cutting garnishes, and clearing away and washing all glassware. We ask for a willingness to receive and offer direction, be solutions oriented, and encourage a hospitality driven environment. Open availability is preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist bartenders in preparing and serving drinks. Ensure that all supplies are stocked and readily available. Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including wiping down counters and tables, cleaning glassware and utensils. Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up and breaking down the bar area. Provide excellent customer service to guests. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations. Perform other tasks as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
A Valid CA Certified Food Handlers card and valid Responsible Beverage Service Training is required. Must be 21+ years of age. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Previous relevant experience in a high-end, high-volume restaurant is preferred. Must be able to stand during entire shift, often up to 8 hours with frequent bending, squatting, and lifting plates, boxes, and objects up to 30lbs. Must have excellent time management skills. Must be able to maintain a professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment. Must be reliable, responsible, and trustworthy. Must have high energy, great communication skills, and be able to work as part of a team. Must have attention to detail and willingness to deliver exceptional customer service.
