Job Description

Bar Host / Bar Attendant at Nationally Recognized Hotel Brand We are a nationally recognized hotel in Newark, CA operating under one of the world's premier hospitality brands. We are seeking an energetic, friendly, and service-oriented Bar Host / Bar Attendant to create an outstanding guest experience in our lobby bar. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with people, preparing beverages, and providing warm hospitality in a fast-paced hotel environment. The Bar Host is responsible for serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, maintaining a clean and inviting bar area, and preparing quick-bite menu food items for guests. The ideal candidate is outgoing, dependable, enthusiastic, and enjoys building positive relationships with guests. Schedule Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM Approximately 20 hours per week
Pay:
$20 per hour plus tips. This position offers excellent tip-earning potential, providing the opportunity to significantly increase your hourly earnings while delivering exceptional guest service. Key Responsibilities Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner. Prepare and serve beer, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages. Take food and beverage orders and process guest payments. Prepare and serve simple food items such as pizzas, burgers, french fries, and other quick-bite menu items. Support Front Desk operations during busy periods by assisting with guest check-ins, check-outs, guest requests, and other hospitality-related tasks to ensure an exceptional guest experience. Ensure food and beverages are prepared according to brand standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, kitchen, and guest seating areas. Restock beverages, food items, cups, napkins, and supplies as needed. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service requirements. Monitor guest satisfaction and promptly address guest requests. Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and inventory organization. Work closely with Front Desk and hotel staff to create an exceptional guest experience. Qualifications Previous bar, restaurant, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred. Experience serving alcoholic beverages is preferred. Ability to prepare simple food items in a kitchen environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Friendly, outgoing, and positive attitude. Reliable, punctual, and dependable. Ability to multitask and work independently. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods. Must be eligible to obtain any required California food handling and alcohol service certifications.
