They will assist members with their needs and preferences as well as make recommendations on beverages if asked. This position will assist our Banquets department. This position will be Part Time. Duties and Responsibilities Primary role is to set up/ breakdown Banquet and Club event bars. Bartender to assist Pool, Canyon Room and Dining room bars as needed Check identification of members/guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol Mix ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters, to prepare balanced cocktails and other drinks Serve wine, and bottled or draft beer Stock bar with beer, wine, liquor, and related supplies such as ice, glassware, napkins, or straws Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment Maintain a clean work area at all times Attempt to limit problems and liability related to members excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading customers to stop drinking, or ordering taxis or other transportation for intoxicated patrons Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from members Assist with training servers and other bartenders Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management Schedule Fluctuates with business demands. Must be available all holidays and during peak season Abide by all laws pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages Wine and food knowledge Minimum Qualifications Prior club or hospitality experience preferred Maintain a pleasant, polite manner as well as a neat and clean appearance Previous bar experience preferred Previous hospitality experience preferred Must have customer service experience Ability to establish and maintain interpersonal relationships with members Ability to plan, prioritize and organize daily duties Must have knowledge of government alcoholic beverage service regulations Ability to recognize customer intoxication Must have attention to detail to identify underage drinking, fake IDs, and intoxication in customers Work cooperatively and professionally with other departments Possess a mature, professional demeanor to interact with staff and members Ability to be on one's feet for long periods of time Requires repetitive movement, using hands to handle, control, or feel objects and tools Requires standing for long/walking, bending throughout the shift Lifting 25 lbs or up to 50 lbs at time Ability to bend, reach, stoop when necessary
