Job Description

Bar Lead Oxnard, CA We are seeking an experienced and hospitality-driven Bar Lead to join our opening team in Oxnard, California. Inspired by the bold flavors of Mexico, Spain, and the Caribbean, we are a modern Latin fire-driven dining experience where exceptional cocktails, spirits, and hospitality play a key role in the guest experience. This position is ideal for a skilled bartender who is ready to take on a leadership role. The Bar Lead will oversee daily bar operations, support and train bartenders, maintain inventory and organization, and work closely with management to ensure consistency, profitability, and an exceptional guest experience. While our cocktail program is already developed, we are looking for someone who can execute at a high level, uphold standards, and help lead the bar team. Responsibilities Lead daily bar operations and service execution Serve as the primary point person for bartenders during shifts Learn and maintain all cocktail, wine, beer, and spirits standards Ensure consistency in drink preparation and presentation Train, coach, and develop bartending team members Assist with scheduling and staffing recommendations Manage liquor, beer, wine, and bar supply inventories Conduct weekly inventory counts and assist with ordering Monitor product usage and help control beverage costs Maintain bar cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards Ensure all opening and closing procedures are followed Assist management with operational improvements and problem-solving Maintain compliance with all alcohol service regulations Support service on the floor when needed Create a welcoming and memorable guest experience Qualifications 2+ years of bartending experience in a high-volume restaurant or bar environment Previous lead bartender, bar supervisor, or bar management experience preferred Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and bar operations Experience with inventory management and ordering procedures Understanding of beverage cost controls and waste management Strong organizational and administrative skills Excellent communication and leadership abilities Ability to multitask and perform under pressure Passion for hospitality and guest engagement Understanding of Latin cuisine and agave spirits is a plus Familiarity with Toast POS and OpenTable is preferred Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly wage based on experience Tip participation Growth opportunities within a growing hospitality group Dining discounts Opportunity to be part of an exciting restaurant opening Join the opening team at CARNE and help establish a bar program that delivers exceptional hospitality, memorable cocktails, and a vibrant guest experience.
