If you are passionate about education and knowledge within the bar and restaurant industry, this is a great fit for you. The ideal candidates are team players who are used to working in a high paced environment. Responsibilities Greeting guests with a friendly and welcoming demeanor Prep garnishes (lemon and lime wedges and wheels, herbs, bloody mary garnishes, pickles, olives, etc), and label/date containers Verify identification and age requirements of customers Providing excellent customer service by taking orders, and making recommendations from our cocktail, beer and food menus Mixing and serving a variety of craft cocktails, beers, and other beverages Keeping the bar area clean, organized, and well-stocked Stay on top of table maintenance, i.e. pre-bussing, checking back, refilling, re-ordering of beverages Uses proper judgment and, when necessary, refuses service to patrons who are intoxicated or disruptive Collaborating with kitchen staff to ensure prompt and accurate delivery of food orders Processing payments and handling cash transactions accurately Removing and disposing of bags from trash receptacles in and around the bar area Sweeping and mopping in and around bar service areas and customer common areas Engaging with guests to ensure a positive and enjoyable experience Qualifications Minimum education level: High School diploma or GED Valid CA food handler's certification Valid RBS certification Prior experience as a bartender is preferred Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time and lift up to 50lbs unassisted Reliable transportation and ability to arrive to work on time Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
