Primary Objective of Bartender Position To maximize customer satisfaction by providing quality beverage service Responsibilities Provides quality food and beverage service to customers Approaches customers promptly suggesting a cocktail/wine or non-alcoholic beverages and recommending promotional items Uses approved suggestive selling techniques to upsell to premium products Maintains knowledge of bar inventory and wine selection to respond properly to customer questions Maintains a thorough knowledge of beverage recipes and mixing procedures Mixes drinks for hotel service staff Understands and follows all state laws and guidelines for beverage service Maintains proper bar cleanliness Ensures that all beverages are served according to specifications Stocks and orders all supplies and glassware Displays beverage selection in an attractive manner Demonstrates the ability to resolve simple customer complaints Handles difficult situations effectively Other duties may be assigned as needed Physical Demands & Work Environment While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is sometimes exposed to outside weather conditions and the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud
