Bartell Hotels is an equal opportunity employer.Primary Objective of Bartender PositionTo maximize customer satisfaction by providing quality beverage service Responsibilities Provides quality food and beverage service to customersApproaches customers promptly suggesting a cocktail/wine or non-alcoholic beverages and recommending promotional itemsUses approved suggestive selling techniques to upsell to premium productsMaintains knowledge of bar inventory and wine selection to respond properly to customer questionsMaintains a thorough knowledge of beverage recipes and mixing proceduresMixes drinks for hotel service staffUnderstands and follows all state laws and guidelines for beverage serviceMaintains proper bar cleanlinessEnsures that all beverages are served according to specificationsStocks and orders all supplies and glasswareDisplays beverage selection in an attractive mannerDemonstrates the ability to resolve simple customer complaints Handles difficult situations effectivelyOther duties may be assigned as needed Physical Demands & Work Environment While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell.
