Your Role at Fit Social As a Barback, you help create a welcoming and efficient bar experience by supporting bartenders, maintaining organization, and ensuring guests receive timely and attentive service. Your contributions help keep operations running smoothly while supporting the high standards of hospitality and service expected throughout Fit Social. What You'll Be Doing Bar Support & Service Assistance Ensure bartenders have necessary supplies throughout service, including garnishes, glassware, liquor, beer, ice, and mixers Assist with clearing bar tops and tables to maintain a clean and polished environment Support beverage preparation by mixing pre-batched drinks, cutting garnishes, and filling ice bins Monitor guest alcohol consumption and support responsible alcohol service practices Provide friendly and attentive interactions with guests while accommodating special requests when possible Bar Operations & Inventory Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area Assist with receiving, restocking, and inventory management of alcoholic beverages and supplies Support maintenance of kegs, CO2 tanks, and bar equipment while reporting issues promptly Perform opening and closing procedures accurately and efficiently Team Collaboration & Support Work closely with bartenders, servers, and front-of-house team members to support smooth operations Assist in training new barbacks or support staff on procedures and service expectations Provide support during high-volume periods and assist teammates as needed Safety & Standards Follow all sanitation, workplace safety, and responsible alcohol service policies Perform restroom checks and maintain cleanliness standards throughout assigned areas Respond promptly and safely to spills or guest incidents Perform additional duties as assigned to support restaurant operations Who You Are Energetic, dependable, and team-oriented Able to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Friendly and guest-service focused with strong communication skills Organized and attentive to cleanliness, safety, and detail Willing to jump in and support the team wherever needed What You Bring Previous restaurant, barback, hospitality, or food service experience preferred Ability to lift and transport heavy items such as kegs, cases, and ice bins Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and high-volume events Strong work ethic and willingness to learn bar operations and beverage service standards Ability to stand and move throughout shifts in a busy environment Belmont Park LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Must meet department uniform, appearance, and grooming requirements. This includes purchasing and wearing slip resistant safety shoes when performing all job duties. Must be able to constantly stand and exert well-paced mobility for a period up to 8 hours in length. Must be able to bend, kneel, stoop, reach, and squat on a frequent basis to receive and store stock, supplies and equipment as well as to work the line during service periods. Must be able to communicate effectively and listen attentively to supervisors, employees, vendors and guests. Skills/Qualifications:
Previous experience as a barback or in a fast-paced hospitality environment is preferred but not required. Strong ability to multitask and anticipate bartender needs in a high-energy setting. Excellent organizational and time management skills to ensure bar operations run smoothly. Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with bartenders, servers, and other staff. Strong attention to detail, ensuring bar stations remain well-stocked and clean. Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs) such as kegs, cases of alcohol, and ice bins. Adaptability to shifting priorities and fast-paced service during peak hours. Basic knowledge of bar tools, alcoholic beverages, and garnishes is a plus but can be learned on the job.
