In this pivotal role, you will bartend Thurs - Sunday, deliver outstanding customer service, and ensure all staff are preparing drinks properly and with a uniform approach. The Italian Cellar speakeasy is run by the Little Italy San Jose nonprofit and there are also private family and corporate rental parties, & Little Italy nonprofit events throughout the year. Duties Prepare and serve a wide variety of beverages with skill and flair, ensuring consistency and quality in every drink. Lead the bar team by training staff on drink recipes, customer service standards, and safety protocols to foster a high-performance environment. Change beer kegs and manager bar inventory to give to bar owner to place orders Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in compliance with health regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures. Create an engaging atmosphere by interacting with guests, taking orders accurately, and upselling premium cocktail, cannoli and little italy memberships to guests. Coordinate with private event organizers to provide seamless service during special occasions or private events. Requirements Proven experience as a bartender with a strong background in fine dining or nightclub environments; banquet experience is a plus. Demonstrated leadership skills with previous bar management or supervisory roles in hospitality settings. Extensive knowledge of beverage preparation techniques, including cocktail crafting. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while maintaining professionalism under pressure. Strong time management skills to handle busy shifts efficiently while overseeing multiple responsibilities. Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling practices, and alcohol service regulations. RBS Alcohol service certification
