On-Call Position Overview:

The Bartendress is responsible for preparing and serving beverages while delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced hospitality environment. This role requires strong multitasking abilities, knowledge of drink preparation, and strict adherence to California alcohol service laws. The ideal candidate is personable, efficient, and committed to creating a positive guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests in a friendly and professional manner Verify customer identification and ensure compliance with California alcohol laws and regulations Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including restocking supplies and sanitizing equipment Handle cash, credit card transactions, and maintain accurate tabs Monitor guest alcohol consumption and respond appropriately to ensure a safe environment Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations Open and close the bar in accordance with company procedures

Required Qualifications:

Previous bartending or hospitality experience preferred Knowledge of standard drink recipes, cocktail preparation, and bar equipment Familiarity with California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) requirements (certification preferred or willingness to obtain) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure Basic math skills for handling transactions and cash management Must meet minimum age requirement for serving alcohol in California (21+)

Preferred Qualifications:

RBS Certification in the State of California Experience in high-volume bars, nightclubs, or restaurants Knowledge of craft cocktails, wine, and beer pairings POS (Point of Sale) system experience

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Capability to lift and carry up to 25-50 lbs (e.g., kegs, cases of beverages) Manual dexterity to operate bar tools and equipment

Compensation:

Hourly wage plus tips Compensation varies based on experience, location, and establishment
