Kitchen428 Restaurant is a Farm-to-Fork casual dining restaurant located in Downtown Woodland, the heart of the "Farms to your Forks" region of Yolo County & the Capay Valley. We specialize in Seasonal, Sustainable and Locally Sourced menu items in both our culinary creations in Kitchen428 and our seasonally refreshing libations in Mojo's Lounge. We offer Steaks, Seafood, Appetizers, Salads as well as many Gluten Free, Vegetarian & Vegan Options. We are open for Lunch, Dinner, Weekend Brunch, Drinks & Appetizers 7 Days-a-week.

Full job description 1.
Bar Supervision:
To set good example for the staff with regard to punctuality, attendance, attitude and hygiene. (discipline with write-up & termination if needed) Recognize when new or more personnel are needed, place ads, recruit and hire as needed Train new staff in methods and procedures. To promote and practice relevant health and safety and fire safety standards. To provide induction training for new staff, and complete Skills Checklists within their first month of employment. To assess training needs and provide relevant training. To hold regular departmental meetings. (Quarterly Training & Re-Training) To direct, control and organize all staff within your direct span of control and to ensure that the required standards are achieved and maintained. To advise staff of unavailability, composition of dishes, information relation to drinks, wines, etc., and any other relevant information in order to ensure the efficient operation of the Bar. 2.
Bar Productivity:
To carry out ordering of supplies as and when necessary. To carry out accurate cash box procedures at start of shift/end of night/shift change. To liaise with Managers of the Kitchen and other Departments regarding specials, upcoming events, procedures, service, etc. To be informed and aware of all relevant legislation regarding service of liquor, the sale of tobacco, opening hours, etc. To be responsible for ensuring that security procedures created and are adhered to. To communicate regularly and efficiently with other section Managers To constantly strive to improve the standards of hygiene and service throughout the bar. To maintain and/or implement new efficient and effective work methods and systems. To prepare and issue, according to bar practice, staff schedules which will provide adequate cover in the most effective manner. Ensure special events and large parties are scheduled for accordingly and that the staff is notified in a timely manner. 3.
Cost Control of Bar:
To ensure all deliveries are checked in correctly and that all relevant delivery dockets/ invoices are correct. To ensure that all services delivered within the bar operation are being charged for correctly To continually monitor three (random) beverage stock items per week, and communicate any shortages to the General Manager. To practice economy and to minimize any incorrect usage of any resources with particular attention given to achieving Cost% Labor % and minimizing variable expenses. To regularly price check all beverage items bought for the operation, to ensure that we are buying at the best prices available. 4.
Quality of Bar Service:
To satisfy all customer requirements by ensuring that the service is constantly maintained at a consistently high standard with particular focus on regular clientele in the Bar. Training, Training, Training
  • Create recipe cards/bible including seasonal and specialty cocktails and train staff proper cocktail making 5.
Bar hygiene:
To practice high standards of personal hygiene at all times in terms of grooming and uniform and ensure all employees adhere to the bar uniform & dress code guidelines. To maintain the required standards of operational hygiene according to the cleaning schedule at all times. Ensure all cleaning is being completed and completed correctly. 6.
Bar Promotion:
Ensure Bar promotional material (triangles, table tents & shadow boxes) are printed, stuffed, readable, relative, clean & presentable. Create fun and interesting menus and promotions for national celebration days ie "National Margarita Day" Create Instagram & Facebook pictures and reels to promote specials and seasonal cocktails Ensure any and all promotional days, holidays and events are fully staffed, trained and run seamless Decorate for bar holidays ie St Patrick's Day, Cinco de Mayo, Xmas, Halloween Etc Create events and promotions to increase sales As a Bar Manager and Bartender, you will be responsible for exceeding the customer expectations by providing them with friendly, prompt and attentive service that is tailored to the customer's preference. A bar manager and bartender will efficiently craft every drink to perfection and serve customers responsibly. A Bartender candidate will be required to have an extensive knowledge of our food and drink menu and be able to recommend and reinforce the customers' orders. A Bartender candidate will also be a resource for Servers in the restaurant to answer questions about our Spirited Drinks. The Bar manager and Bartender is committed to safe food handling, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards during the shift and prepares drinks with proper safety equipment, tools and recipe specs with further direction from Management.

Minimum Education and Qualifications:
2+ years of professional beverage experience. Previous bartending and management experience. Experience in a high-volume restaurant/lounge. Food Handlers Card RBS Certificate Able to work weekends &
Holidays Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Must be able to stand, lift and bend for extended periods of time. Must be able to bend and lift to 50 lbs. Role may include job duties or tasks requiring repetitive motion. Must be able to work and remain focused in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. Ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of varying shifts such as days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
