ABOUT WELLNESS COUNTER
Wellness Counter is a refined Japanese restaurant on Pearl Street in Boulder — a sushi and chef's counter built around seasonal ingredients, precise technique, and warm, intentional hospitality. Our beverage program is focused and chef-driven: we prize balance, restraint, and clarity over volume or spectacle, with a point of view rooted in Japanese spirits, sake, and seasonal produce — including a thoughtful zero-proof list.THE ROLE
We are looking for a Bartender who executes with precision and hospitality in equal measure. You will craft our cocktails to exact standards, guide guests through the sake and spirits list, and keep a clean, composed, well-paced bar through service. This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants to grow within a serious program.WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Prepare cocktails consistently and to spec, with attention to balance and dilution
- Guide guests through cocktails, sake, wine, and zero-proof options with confidence
- Maintain bar cleanliness, organization, stocking, and station readiness
- Manage pacing and quality during service in coordination with the FOH team
- Follow recipes, systems, and inventory procedures accurately
- Enter orders and process payment on our POS (Toast)
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Previous bartending experience preferred, ideally in a craft, program-driven, or chef-driven environment
- Solid grasp of classic technique, balance, and consistent execution
- Interest in Japanese spirits, sake, and a clean, refined style
- Calm, organized, and detail-oriented under pressure; a collaborative team member
- Evening and weekend availability strongly preferred
- Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States
COMPENSATION
- Base pay $18
- 22 plus tip-pool share; estimated total $32
- 45/hour based on experience and service volume
- This position participates in the restaurant's tip pool.
