Bartender

Pasta Jay's is an iconic Italian restaurant located in the heart of Downtown Boulder. We've been open for over 36 years because of our high-volume atmosphere, historic food and outstanding customer service. We are seeking an experienced bartender that thrives in a fast-paced environment while keeping a positive attitude.

Compensation:

Hourly + Keep 100% of your own tips (No pooling!)

Job Description:

Crafting high quality, fresh beverages for all restaurant guests Timeliness, accuracy, and quality of drinks Providing menu recommendations, knowledgably answering questions, taking guest orders and accommodating for special needs or requests Maintain strict responsible alcohol service standards and diligent ID checks Accurately entering orders into Toast POS Correctly finalizing guest checks, collecting payment and balancing the bar drawer Ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the visit Maintaining a clean, sanitary and well-stocked bar area as well as completing opening duties, side work and closing duties

Job Requirements:

Desire to be part of a team and help grow the Pasta Jay's bar business Positive, infectious attitude and sense of humor. Personable, kind, and customer service oriented Well-versed in: Cocktail, spirits, beer and wine Recipes, preparation techniques, styles, flavor profiles and brands Pairing food with beverages Clean and orderly Ability to work quickly, in close quarters with others and maintain poise in a fast-paced environment Self starter with the desire to learn more and try new things in a creative and innovative environment Honest, dependable and well presented Two years of service industry experience, as a bartender, is preferred. Ability to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays
