This role is guest-facing and service-focused, working closely with culinary leadership, management, and support teams to uphold the highest standards of hospitality. Core Responsibilities Deliver warm, attentive, and knowledgeable service to all guests throughout the dining experience Follow SYC Concepts' Mission, Values, and all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook Demonstrate complete knowledge of food menus, beverage offerings, and daily specials Accurately describe menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, and dietary considerations Guide guests through omakase experiences with confidence and professionalism Execute proper steps of service with consistency and attention to detail Accurately enter orders into the POS system and communicate clearly with kitchen and bar teams Maintain proper table pacing and anticipate guest needs Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of service stations and dining areas Handle payments accurately and responsibly Follow all health department, food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards Participate in pre-shift lineups and service briefings as scheduled Communicate clearly and professionally with front- and back-of-house teams Support a respectful, professional, and collaborative service culture Follow direction from management and floor leadership Perform additional job-related duties as assigned Position Characteristics Strong attention to detail and commitment to hospitality excellence Calm, polished demeanor during high-volume or high-expectation service Dependable, punctual, and prepared for scheduled shifts Open to feedback and committed to continuous improvement Clear verbal communication skills with guests and teammates Positive attitude and respect for guests, coworkers, and leadership Education & Experience Minimum 2+ years experience as a Server in a full-service restaurant Fine dining or upscale casual experience strongly preferred Experience with omakase, tasting menus, or chef-driven concepts preferred Strong food and beverage knowledge required (wine, sake, or cocktail knowledge a plus) Prior experience in sushi bars or Asian-focused restaurants preferred Tremendous career growth opportunities are absolutely on the table for those who apply!
