Being an ambassador for our restaurant brand; by playing a key role in contributing to the smooth operation of the FOH. Greeting and providing our guests with a positive experience by being charismatic, engaging and customer focused. Always exceeding our customers' needs and expectations. Listening, interacting, and delivering creative and classic drinks and service. Regularly recommending menu choices and specials.
Job Description Functions and Competencies:
  • Welcoming and sitting diners and bar patrons as needed.
  • Setting tables and rearranging the dining area to accommodate larger groups and preparing the restaurant for special events as needed.
  • Provides information to guests to help food and beverage selections and be able to recommend food selections and beverages.
  • Explain dishes to guests and clarify any concerns about allergies or styles of food preparation.
  • Suggest courses, explaining the chef's specialties, identifying appropriate beverage pairings.
  • Transmits utilizing restaurant software orders to bar and kitchen by recording patrons' choices and identifying patrons' special dietary needs and special requests.
  • Serve patrons with food and beverages in a prompt and efficient manner. Verify identification and age requirements of bar patrons.
  • Prepares and maintains ingredients by following recipes and restaurant practices.
  • Maintains knowledge of traditional and current beverage specialties.
  • Offers a bar menu and makes recommendations based on customer needs and preferences.
  • Take beverage and food orders adhering to customer specifications.
  • Attends to the presentation detail of each beverage and food order.
  • Refilling guest beverages Maintains dining ambiance with a positive enthusiastic attitude.
Collaborating with the staff for prompt and correct delivery of orders. Keeping guests and kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression. Serves orders by picking up and delivering patrons' choices as well as delivering accompaniments and condiments from service bars. Responds to additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs and observing dining process. Listens to customer suggestions and resolves any present issues. Delivering a memorable dining experience by resolving all customer issues promptly and with a positive attitude. Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, and being alert to patron spills or other special needs. Assisting with the tidying of tables and bar by clearing leftovers and keeping the dining area neat and pleasant to the eye. Obtains revenues by totaling charges, issuing bills, accepting payments, delivering bills and payments to host or through POS, and returning change or credit card and signature slip to patrons. Concludes dining experience by acknowledging their choice of restaurant and inviting patrons to return. Accurate recording of tips and tracking of receipts. Adhere to state laws regarding food and beverage regulations. Maintain a clean and sanitary environment. Completes cleaning according to daily and weekly schedules and adheres to cleaning practices. Adheres to proper alcohol handling, sanitation, and safety procedures. Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies. Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, through service and alcohol beverage control policies. Closing tasks, bussing dishes, sweeping floors, wiping menus, and completing next shifts setup ie. rolling silverware, patio umbrellas etc. Additional requests as needed for the smooth operation of the shift. Contributes to daily, holiday, and theme drink menus in collaboration with manager. Assists with orienting new employees to restaurant practices and policies. Instructs new personnel in the use of new equipment and cleaning methods and provides efficient and effective methods of maintaining the work area. Participates in and contributes buy suggestions to improve quality of service and productivity. Additional requests as needed for the smooth operation of the shift.
Bartender/Server Qualifications/Skills:
  • Knowledgeable about the food and beverages on the menu as well as chef specials Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in ability to operate standard beverage service equipment safely and effectively.

Level Multi-tasking Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
High school diploma or GED Minimum two (2) years of bar or restaurant experience to include drink preparation. Current beverage service certification or other certification as required by federal/state/local law. Familiar with point-of-sale computers and software Comfortable using a computer, navigating
Windows, Microsoft Office, and Outlook Email Salary:
Pay from $6.38 Server to $8.23nder an hour plus tips.
