Being an ambassador for our restaurant brand plays a key role in contributing to the smooth operation of the front of the house. Greeting diners and engaging in friendly conversation to cultivate a hospitable welcoming environment while making menu suggestions. Being attentive to the needs of customers, fully meeting their expectations throughout their dining experience by providing exceptional customer service with a pleasant demeanor. Continually attending to diners before and during to insure timely delivery of food and beverages through to payment. Job Description Functions and Competencies
  • Welcoming and sitting guests comfortably in the dining section, as needed.
  • Setting tables and rearranging the dining area to accommodate larger groups and prepare the restaurant for special events.
  • Excellent listening skills and detail oriented to meet customers' requests.
  • Knowledgeable of food and beverages on the menu as well as chef specials

  • Memorization of the menu.

  • Provides information to guests to help food and beverage selections and be able to recommend food selections and beverages.
  • Explain dishes to guests and clarify any concerns about allergies or styles of food preparation.
  • Suggest courses, explaining the chef's specialties, identifying appropriate beverage pairings.
  • Transmits utilizing restaurant software orders to bar and kitchen by recording patrons' choices and identifying patrons' special dietary needs and special requests.
  • Serve patrons with food and beverages in a prompt and efficient manner.
  • Refilling guest beverages
  • Replenish and stock inventory: napkins, service plates, containers, glassware, and utensils as needed.
  • Replenish and fill as needed during service beverages and condiments.

  • Aid and sets dining room configuration, tables and chairs to meet guests' needs

  • Assisting with the tidying of tables, clearing leftovers, and keeping the dining area neat and pleasant
  • Obtains revenues by totaling charges, issuing bills, accepting payments, delivering bills and payments, and returning change or credit card and signature slip to patrons.

Listening, interacting, and delivering creative and classic drinks. Regularly recommending food choices and specials.
Job Description Functions and Competencies:
Verification identification and age requirements of bar patrons. Adhere to state laws regarding food and beverage regulations. Provide a pleasant drinking experience to customers, alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Prepares and maintains ingredients by following recipes and restaurant practices. Maintains knowledge of beer, cocktails, wines, and current beverages. Communicates and interacts with customers utilizing proper verbiage in a positive and polite way. Maintains knowledge of current menu specials.
  • Explain dishes to guests and clarify any concerns about allergies or styles of food preparation.
Offers bar menu and makes recommendations based on customer needs and preferences. Take beverage and food orders adhering to customer specifications and accurately enter into software. Attends to the presentation detail of each beverage and food orders. Ability to perform proper wine service steps and awareness of safety precautions. Serve drinks while maintaining a clean and sanitary bar area. Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, and being alert to patron spills or other special needs.
  • Concludes guests' dining experience, acknowledging the choice of restaurant and inviting patrons to return.
Accurate recording of tips and tracking of receipts. Adheres to proper alcohol handling, sanitation, and safety procedures. Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies. Contributes to daily, holiday, and theme drink menus in collaboration with manager. Completes cleaning according to daily and weekly schedules and adheres to cleaning practices to maintain a clean and sanitary environment. Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation a safety and standards. Listens to customer suggestions and resolves any present issues as well as inform MOD. Assists with orienting new bar employees to restaurant practices and policies. Instructs new personnel in use of new equipment and cleaning methods and provides efficient and effective methods of maintaining work area. Participates in and contributes by suggestions to improve quality of service and productivity. Communicates and interacts with staff in a professional manner, answering questions general, beverage items with drink menu. Accurate recording of tips and tracking receipts. Competence in rendering and submitting cash in accordance with policies. Counting last drawer of PM shift, sum and adding to daily FOH totals. Closing tasks as assigned by GM. Additional requests s needed for the smooth operation of the shift assigned.
Bartender Qualifications/Skills:

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
High school diploma or GED Minimum two (2) years of bar or restaurant experience to include drink preparation. Current beverage service certification or other certification as required by federal/state/local law. Familiar with point-of-sale computers and related software Comfortable using a computer, navigating Windows, Microsoft Office, and Outlook Email ServSafe and/or TIPS certification valued
