Event Server/Bartender The Vue Hamden, CT Job Details Part-time | Full-time $20 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid time off Food provided Qualifications Guest relations Catering Bussing Venue guest services Catering event room organization Full Job Description Banquet Server Job Description The VUE is looking for personable and hard-working Banquet Servers to join our team and help bring beautiful events to this stunning, newly renovated venue. The Vue is a premier golf course and event space in Hamden, CT. It recently underwent an extensive renovation and is now a stunning modern space with beautiful materials and unrivaled views. The space is defined by refined elegance and is the perfect place for a wedding, corporate, or social event. Responsibilities Set up banquet rooms and serve food and/or beverages in accordance with established guest service and sustainability standards Set up banquet room as instructed by supervisor Attend pre-event meetings to learn function specifics, including guest expectations and service style details Serve the food and/or beverage in the order and to the expectation of the supervisor to ensure consistency throughout the banquet Replenish beverages as necessary, and check with guests for overall satisfaction Promptly remove dishes as guests complete each course and/or meal at the end of the meal or function Respond to guest special requests and resolve guest complaints Abide by all state, federal and corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages Practice safe work habits Perform other duties as requested by management Work schedule varies and will include working on holidays and weekends Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 35 pounds, bending and reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching
