Job Description
- Overview
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bartender/Server to join our team. As a key member of our front-of-house staff, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable experiences for our guests.
- Responsibilities
- Greet and engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere in the restaurant and bar area.
- Bartending, taking orders, and serving in the Bar/Restaurant.
- Prepare and serve a range of beverages, including craft cocktails and specialty drinks.
- Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized bar area, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Manage cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Provide assistance to other staff members as needed, including helping with food service and events.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of the menu and ingredients to answer customer questions and make recommendations.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of our drink menu and ingredients to ensure consistency and quality.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor in all interactions with customers, colleagues, and management.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment. Experience working in a country club environment is preferred.
- Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable experiences.
- Experience with point-of-sale systems.
- Strong knowledge of food industry regulations and practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Skills
- TIPS Certification
- Must be of legal age to serve liquor according to state law
- Proficiency in bartending and basic math.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Experience in a fine dining or high-end restaurant environment or country club.
- Ability to help customers with menu selections and make drink recommendations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Familiarity with the food industry and relevant health and safety standards.
